MAY 31-
Steamboat Springs, Colorado
Year one is capped at 300 riders. Big race feel. Tight field. No chaos. Just smart racing across South Valley gravel.
Start and finish at historic Olympian Hall beneath Howelsen Hill.
This is an insider’s course. The best gravel in the South Valley, linked by strategy-driven transitions that reward riders who know when to push and when to stay patient. Professional chip timing captures every segment so results reflect how you actually raced.
You roll back into town dusty, satisfied, and already replaying the segments in your head.
The Outlaw Gravel experience
No chaos start - a staggered rollout into timed segment 1
Expansive views between efforts - cattle, horses, and the full valley stretched out around you
A limited edition Year One hat you won’t see again
Aid stations built for real resets, not fly-bys
On-course surprises you’ll be talking about long after
Blistering guitars and thunderous drums as you charge the finish line
Podium awards for top solo racers and teams
Locally made burritos and cold drinks, ready when you are
A race you’ll replay long after it ends
Rider Code of Conduct
By participating in Outlaw Gravel, you agree to represent the cycling community with respect, professionalism, and integrity - on course, at aid stations, at the post-race celebration, and throughout Steamboat Springs.
When riding in town or on course, you are legally required to follow all rules of the road. All roads remain open during the event. Obey traffic laws at all times. Stop for vehicles - they may not stop for you. When being followed by vehicles, ride single file. This will occur on untimed segments and could occur during timed segments. Ride predictably, signal your intentions, and respect law enforcement and course officials.
You are a guest in this community. Be respectful to local residents, businesses, visitors, pedestrians, and fellow cyclists. Offer a wave. Say hello. Steamboat is a friendly town - let’s keep it that way.
Use designated porta-potties and properly dispose of all trash and recycling. Help us leave Steamboat cleaner than you found it.
Your behavior shapes how this community sees cyclists. Set the standard high. Be kind. Follow the rules. Look out for one another. And have a great race.
Field limited to 300 riders.
